Grand Prairie police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian collision that occurred at about 6:45 PM Saturday in the 2500 blk of W Main St (Tx 180). An adult male pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway from south to north when he walked into the path of a 2019 Acura SUV that was westbound on Main St. The Acura struck the pedestrian, who was taken by ambulance to Medical City Arlington and pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The pedestrian has not yet been identified. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. The 63 year old female driver of the Acura will not face any charges.
This is the first traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year
