The Grand Prairie Police Department reported that they are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred early this morning at Marshall Drive and SW 3rd. At approximately 2:30 A.M., a Nissan passenger car traveling north on SW 3rd left the roadway and
collided with a tree.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Grand Prairie Fire Department Medics. Traffic investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the collision.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once the next of kin have been notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
