America’s premier create-your-own stir-fry chain plans to open new restaurant prototype with enhanced design in December
Genghis Grill – the leading build-your-own stir-fry chain, renowned for its interactive dining experience and fresh, hot, and healthy food – just broke ground on its first Grand Prairie restaurant.
In addition to expanding into Grand Prairie, this will be the first new design that Genghis Grill has opened in Dallas-Fort Worth in five years.

The new restaurant is set to bring up to 50 new jobs to the local community and will open on Dec. 16 in Epic Central Grand Prairie, located at 3138 Hwy. 161, Ste. 420. It will mark Genghis Grill’s 15th restaurant in Dallas-Fort Worth and 57th systemwide.
Genghis Grill began remodeling its DFW locations in June 2018, with plans to update all restaurants systemwide by the end of 2021. Grand Prairie’s new Genghis Grill will be built with the company’s new design created by brand strategy and design firm Propaganda Studios and multi-discipline firm ID Studio 4. The design includes a bright interior, colorful booths, and a new graphics package. The restaurant will also feature a new takeout pick-up area designed to make Genghis Grill more convenient for guests.
And while the restaurant will feature a new look, its food and world-famous grill will still be the Genghis Grill that everyone knows and loves. Guests will continue to experience the thrill of forging their own flavor by creating custom bowls filled with exactly what they are craving from the restaurant’s Fresh Market Bar featuring an array of more than 80 delicious ingredients.
“This is a big moment for Genghis Grill because this new design is the future prototype for the brand, plus we are making our Grand Prairie debut,” said CEO Jim Vinz. “We couldn’t have picked a better location for this exciting debut. Epic Central is at the heart of the DFW metroplex and features five lakes, a grand lawn, boardwalk and more. Genghis Grill is proud to be one of the first brands to open in the 172-acre park site, and we have no doubt that it’ll be a huge hit.”
Epic Central is home to the Grand Prairie Public Safety Building, Epic
Waters Indoor Waterpark, The Summit recreation center, The Epic “reimagined
recreation center” for all ages, and the future home of PlayGrand Adventures’
all-inclusive playground and a new Genghis Grill restaurant.
