Grand Prairie Fall Festival Events

As the temperature begins to drop and you are looking for something to do with the family here is a list of fall events to get you in the spirit of fall and Halloween.

Halloween Carnival
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Charley Taylor Recreation Center
FREE!! Ghosts and goblins will not want to miss the haunting experience we have planned for Halloween night!  The spooky fun includes games, bounce houses, candy and more!

Annual Fall Block Party
Friday, October 25th
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Dalworth Recreation Center
FREE! Plenty of family-friendly fun to be had at our annual Trick or Trail Event. There will be a haunted house, games and candy. Join us on Friday, October 25, 2019, for the Annual Fall Block Party. Come out and enjoy a fun-filled night of carnival games, inflatables, petting zoo and much more! Free food and entertainment will be provided as well. Please come out to this FREE EVENT and celebrate with us.

Trick or TrailFriday
October 25th
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Bowles Park & Tony Shotwell Life Center
FREE! There plenty of family-friendly fun to be had at our annual Trick or Trail Event. There will be a haunted house, games, and candy.

Pumpkin SwimSaturday
October 26th
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Kirby Creek Natatorium
Jump in and swim with hundreds of pumpkins in our heated indoor pool! Pick our your favorite, decorate it and take it home to enjoy. Limit one pumpkin per swimmer. The event starts at 1:00 pm and pumpkins are limited, so be sure to register early.

There will be lots of food vendors, games, prizes, face-painting and a costume contest – all in front of the school and inside on the first floor. The cafeteria will host the performances; the schedule is below the.

Forest of FearFriday
October 18th, Saturday, October 19th, Friday, October 25th, Saturday, October 26th
7:00 p.m.
Loyd Park
One of the best displays of Halloween spirit in Texas, Loyd Park’s Forest of Fear witnesses the transformation of a campground into a drive-through of creative Halloween displays!  Drive through on your own, or ride one of our hayrides on either SATURDAY.  Hayrides run until the line is gone or 10:00 p.m.  Concessions will be available for purchase!  Call 972-237-4120 for more information.

Powell Elementary Trunk or Treat
October 29th
6 p.m. – 8p.m.
Powell Elementary 5009 S. Carrier Pkwy.

Come check out the decorate the back of their cars for Halloween, load up on candy, and come sit in a parking lot for kids to “trick or treat” from car-to-car. It’s more fun than it sounds, trust me!

Farmers Market
FREE! Join us for an enjoyable Halloween event in Grand Prairie! Participants will enjoy FREE games, face painting, kid’s crafts, and trick-or-treating at the Farmers Market! Prepare to dress to impress, ask “Trick-or-Treat” and bring a large bucket for candy!
