Grand Prairie Mayor Talks Real Estate at the University of Texas at Arlington

This week Grand Prairie Mayor Ron Jensen had the opportunity to go back to his alma mater the University of Texas at Arlington and speak before the Students Society of Real Estate where students and staff got to hear the mayor talk about his own journey and career path and what his duties are as Mayor of Grand Prairie. Students were interested in hearing about the development in the City of Grand Prairie and some of the inner workings of all the current opportunities the city has witnessed with their push for positive growth and recognition of the City of Grand Prairie.

This is all part of a UTA Students Society of Real Estate guest speaker series that is aimed at having renowned and experienced industry experts come and speak. SSRE takes pride in hosting them to address the UTA Alumni, faculty and students with their enriched knowledge and experience. Students get an opportunity to have an interactive session and explore more and more. Students have volunteered to start the Students Society of Real Estate to encourage students to realize the potential in Real Estate especially women. They strongly believe in WOMEN POWER! Mayor Ron Jensen who is also a distinguished Alumni of UTA addressed UTA Alums, faculty and students from 6 pm to 7 pm this past Tuesday at the College of Business, UTA Campus. He also showcased the transformation of Grand Prarie- which was once a city with mud roads and woods and has been transformed into a growing vibrant city.

The introduction of Epic Indoor Water Park, Epic West- Retail shopping and dining, renovated new Libraries, The EPIC, Epic Waters, PlayGrand Adventures, Epic Central in addition to the renovation of the Animal Shelter- Prarie Paws, IKEA, Grand Prarie Police and Fire, Investor attractions, How taxes have been utilized and so much more. The Students Society of Real Estate looks forward to seeing Grand Prairie grow.
