On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Grand Prairie Detectives, with the assistance of the United States Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Taskforce, arrested Christian Overton, 26 years of age, at his residence in Arlington for the Murder of Tracey Hay, 51 years of age.
After extensive investigative work, Christian Overton was developed as a suspect. Detectives suspect that Overton, who did not know the victim, committed the homicide on May 7th. While a motive is still unclear, detectives continue to investigate this offense.
Christian Overton is currently being held in the Grand Prairie Detention Center with a bond of 1 million dollars.
On Friday, May 7th, at around 11:45 AM, the Grand Prairie Police Department responded to a death investigation in the 1100 block of N. Highway 360. A 51‐year‐old female was found deceased inside her grey minivan in a parking lot.
On May 7th, 2021 Grand Prairie Detectives were seeking the public’s assistance in locating a possible witness seen walking near the vehicle. Anyone who recognized this person was asked to contact the Grand Prairie Police Department at 972‐237‐8790.
