Grand Prairie – On Tuesday, December 17th at approximately 9:00 p.m., Grand Prairie Police responded to a local emergency room in the 900 block of W. Jefferson on the report of a deceased person. Upon arrival officers met with medical staff who advised the deceased, identified as Natanael Contreras, 18 years of age, had been brought to the emergency room suffering from a stab wound and later pronounced deceased.
Detectives identified and interviewed the woman who brought Natanael to the emergency room, identified as Abigail Contreras, Natanael’s sibling. Investigators determined the brother and sister were traveling in a vehicle when a physical fight between the two occurred. During the fight, Natanael was stabbed and ultimately died of his injuries sometime after being driven to the emergency room by Abigail.
Abigail Contreras was arrested on a charge of murder and transported to the Grand Prairie Detention Center. A bond has been set at $200,000.
Investigators are treating this a Family Violence related murder.
