At Toyota Music Factory August 7th 2025, there was not an empty seat in the house. Or at least from what I could see from where I was, in the pit looking out at the crowd. Not one open space on the lawn in spite of it being 89 degrees outside after the sun went down, with a feel like temp of 94 degrees, or maybe it felt 104 degrees, with all of these bodies locked in so tight. All for a young man Teddy Swims (Jaten Dimsdale).
He made his mark by receiving recognition for some Youtube covers he did in 2019 and 2020 reaching millions and millions of views and followers. Teddy Swims, is a powerhouse vocalist known for his raw ability and amazing vocal power. In 2023 his break out single “I Lose Control” brought worldwide recognition to his talents.
The band took the stage first with loud screams from the crowd excited to see the show start. Playing “Not Your Man” about 45 seconds into the song this bright light blasted the arena on the left side of the stage and on top of this platform about10 feet above the stage Teddy appeared, but the light was so bright and the fog was so thick that you couldn’t really make him out, but the crowd went wild hearing that voice break in to the tune. There was a long ramp behind the band that he made his way done to the stage floor to finish that tune.
Teddy delivered a soul-riveting performance on stage last night at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving thru the 1st 3 songs we heard while shooting from the pit. Keeping the crowd on their feet and singing along to his music.
We were not approved for a ticket to write a review of the show but we were privileged to get to hear the 1st three songs live of a very talented guy. If you haven’t heard of Teddy Swims I highly recommend you to catch a show if he is in your neighborhood. It would be money well spent. Heck add him to your playlist if you haven’t already.
