Law enforcement officials credited members of the church’s security team for ending the attack within 6 seconds after it started saving 242 other members at the church service this morning.
A gunman killed two people during a Sunday-morning service at a church in White Settlement before members of the congregation fatally shot him, authorities say.
The shooting appeared to happen during communion. One man was standing toward the back of the sanctuary holding a tray when the shooter got up from a nearby pew, walked toward the man and appeared to say something to him.
A man in the back then pointed a handgun at the gunman and fired one shot. The gunman fell and at least three or four more people armed with handguns walked toward the gunman.
