Man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in Grand Prairie, being held on $1 million bond

On Saturday, June 18th, at around 8:45 p.m., the Grand Prairie Police Department responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 1400 block of N. State Highway 360. Inside the residence, officers located a female with apparent lacerations to her body. The victim, identified as Sabrina Freeman, 51 years of age, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Samuel Wilson, 53 years of age, surrendered to Detectives at the Grand Prairie Public Safety Building on Sunday, June 19th. Detectives determined the suspect and victim were in a prior dating relationship and are investigating this as a family violence related homicide.

Samuel Wilson is currently being held in the Grand Prairie Detention Center charge of Murder with a bond set at $1,000.000.00. This case remains under investigation.
