Man killed riding bike in Grand Prairie hit-and-run

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal auto/pedestrian collision that occurred Friday evening in the 2500 block of W. Jefferson Street.

At approximately 9:30 P.M., an adult male was struck by a Honda passenger car as the male rode his bicycle on the roadway. The Honda fled the scene without providing aid to the cyclist. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Grand Prairie Officers located the Honda at a nearby residence which led to the identification of the driver. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Juan Robledo-Delgado, 30 years of age, was subsequently arrested and charged with Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death, a 2nd-degree felony.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

This crash remains under investigation.
