Yungblud: Idols World Tour review

Thursday was a packed sold out night at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. Fans ranging from all ages in the pit from as young as six years old to ladies who you wouldn’t think would be first in line and barricade at a rock concert rest to watch Yungblud perform. The evening started off with Emily Wolfe taking stage with a gorgeous double neck guitar. She warmed up the crowd for about 30 minutes with a short set including 2 of her newest releases Lips and Crave Me.
The Warning was the second act to show off their talents for the night. A band I hadn’t heard of before but they will definitely be on my radar for the future. The three sisters in the all-girl band were as energetic as they come. They started off with one of their big hits MORE and played most of their 2024 Keep Me Fed album. If you are looking for a new rock girl group to listen to, The Warning may just be for you. Just after 9 is when the lights went dark, queueing the crowds roar ready for Yungblud to take the stage. From the barricade all the way back to the edge of the lawn, fans were cheering for the opening song of the night “Hello Heaven, Hello”.
As soon as he stepped foot on stage there was nonstop movement from the singer the whole night. There was everything at this show. From confetti to pyro bursts during certain songs to starting out the show with the artist riding on a horse backstage before making his way to his sold-out crowd. Yungblud brought up a young fan, Jonathan, onstage during his song “fleabag” to let him play the guitar for the whole song, and the kid almost stole the whole show. They both had great stage presence together. It was a breath of fresh air to see a talented artist such as Yungblud inspire the next generation.
He may have only had a 13-song set but he entertained the full crowd for an hour and a half before closing it out with his current big hit “Zombie”.
All 8,000 concertgoers seemed to have enjoyed themselves at the show, myself included.
