Woman charged with capital murder after 2 stabbed in Grand Prairie

Grand Prairie – On Sunday, October 25, 2020 at around 10:30 a.m., the Grand Prairie Police Department responded to a medical emergency at a residence in the 2500 block of Riverside Pkwy. When officers arrived, they located two adult females inside the residence with apparent stab wounds. Both females were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators determined the deceased females, a mother and daughter, were at their residence when a known suspect arrived, and an argument ensued over a relationship between the suspect and another family member. The argument escalated to a physical altercation at which time the suspect stabbed both the mother and daughter, causing their death.

The suspect, identified as Jillian Johnson, 41 years of age, was arrested without incident by the United States Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force for Capital Murder and is currently being held in the Grand Prairie Detention Center with a bond set at $500,000.00.

Investigators are treating this as a Family Violence related murder.
