South Grand Prairie’s right-handed pitcher and 2020 graduate Josh Stephan was signed by the Texas Rangers on Monday. Josh decided not to attend Stephen F. Austin where he had previously committed. He will report to their minor league camp once that is open due to COVID19.
Warriors head coach Art Senato has done a phenomenal job with South Grand Prairie’s baseball program and he had this to say about Josh.
“Josh is a very talented young man that will only get better as he grows into a man and gets the best instruction in the world of professional baseball. I am very excited that he is getting to live out his dream of becoming a professional baseball player.” – Art Senato
Josh has made his team and family proud and we are certain that all of Grand Prairie can not wait to see Josh Stephan pitch at the new Globe Life Park in Arlington.
